POWDERED CARBOHYDRATES

Powdered carbohydrates certainly play an extremely important role in muscle building. Strong stimulation is required for muscle growth, strong stimulation is the result of strong training, strong  training requires great energy, which we get from powdered carbohydrates.

Powdered carbohydrates are part of the ingredients found in the ingredient complexes we use before and after training. After training, powdered carbohydrates lower the level of cortisol, and raise the level of muscle glycogen.

Powdered carbohydrates are used by people whose goal is to increase muscle mass. People whose goal is to reduce subcutaneous fat reduce carbohydrates in their diet as part of reduction diets and do not need to additionally consume powdered carbohydrates.

In sports such as handball, football, water polo, athletics and cycling, powdered carbohydrates are used a lot during training.

There are different types of powdered carbohydrates such as: dextrose, maltodextrin, vitargo, palatinose, isomaltulose.

Dextrose – a simple sugar with a high glycemic index that is commonly used mixed with whey protein and water immediately after training.

Maltodextrin – maltodextrin is a complex carbohydrate with a high glycemic index and low osmolarity. Due to the high glycemic index, it causes a rapid rise in insulin, and when insulin is raised, the cells are open and ready to receive material and energy for growth and regeneration and quick recovery for the next training session. It is perfectly combined with whey protein after training.

Low osmolarity enables fast passage through the stomach and reaching the cells, which is why it is good for sports where athletes use carbohydrates during training.

Vitargo – it is a specially patented high molecular weight carbohydrate product. It comes in its pure form or combined with creatine or whey protein in the post-workout meal.

Palatinose – a carbohydrate with a low glycemic index that releases energy into the bloodstream for a long time. In body building we find it added to gainers in combination with a few more carbohydrates, and in endurance sports it is added to energy bars and gels.

Isomaltulose – a carbohydrate with a low glycemic index that slowly releases energy into the bloodstream and does not suddenly raise insulin.

For body builders, it is good to use isomaltulose in the meal before training, and for endurance sports during training.
